LIGHT STRONG DURABLE SUPs
Our 2019 iSUPs are among the very best available in the Canadian market, using a new construction technology called Advanced Polymer Fusion (APF) which is viewed as the industries leading construction process for inflatable stand up paddle boards.
Some of the larger brands have developed their own acronyms for Advanced Polymer Fusion (APF) and refer to this process as MSL (Monocoque Structural Laminate) or FLT (Fusion Layer Technology) construction.
APF applies a rigid board philosophy of achieving a strong, light SUP that achieves desired rigidity at a lower PSI.
Here is the process:
The high density diagonal drop-stitch core consists of 16,000 threads per m2, which hold the deck and bottom of the board together.
The outer drop stitch envelope is coated in a sealing adhesive (polymer) before machine fusing a second layer of thick military-grade PVC, while still in its raw material form.
APF is performed by software driven, precision machinery which eliminates human error and removes the need to hand glue the second layer of PVC which reduces weight while achieving greater strength and rigidity.
